i wonder how well it handles and stops?

My guess is not very well. For 250 grand they could have used the Ferrari brakes too.

Seeing how the turbos aren’t connected to anything, there’s no fuel rail, no shaft from the steering wheels, no coolant hoses, and there isn’t a driveshaft, I don’t think those front drums will be an issue.

I figured for 250K they would at least finish it. It’s missing so many parts.

Holy crap I didn’t even notice. I was too upset over the ride height.

But if it came with a matching lawnmower it would so be worth it.

What 1989 Ferrari V8 was 3 liters?

Where is the transmission?

Omg CP. Damn I need more coffee before I post. It gets worse the more I look at it but why is it 2 feet in the air?

;)

It’s a fiberglass body ( from the CL ad) so, not even real.

My favorite, “aluminum radiator mounted in the trunk”

Yeah ya wouldn’t want to let it get all that cool air. Faster warmups!.

To be fair most deuces are fiberglass or repop.

So, are they hoping someone bites before they finish it?

There’s no fucking way that detuned Lancia engine makes 950hp.

“Achilles” isn’t exactly a name I’d want on my tires.

I don’t care how good they are, it’s a stupid name for the component that keeps you planted on the ground.

Kinja'd!!!3

Here’s the list I have so far.

No driveshaft

No transmission

No coolant hoses

No steering shaft

Turbos connected to nothing but headers

No fuel rail

I’m unaware of any 1989 3 liter engine

No alternator

No wiring harness

Missing lugs

No brake lines

No water pump belt

I’m also unaware of any Ferrari 3 liter V8 that wasn’t transverse mounted, which probably explains why there isn’t a transmission. ( image of a 3.8 engine, gearbox, and differential)

If they built mowers like they did cars, the lawnmower would be missing:

Carb

Blade

Pull cord

Spark plug

Bag

There’s no fucking way that detuned Lancia engine makes 950hp.

Not without a fuel rail, water pump belt, coolant hoses, wiring harness, or intake hoses.

What engine is it? I was thinking 308, but with with side-mounted gearbox and diff removed. Looks like they sumped up the area where the transmission was. Also explains why there’s no transmission.

Thema 8.32 engine (basically a 200hp 308 engine).

It’s a fiberglass shell and a Lancia/Ferrari engine.

That’s it..... no brake lines, no steering, no transmission, no coolant hoses, no alternator, no interior. It’s a SEMA car some paint supplier threw together two years ago.

Look up Lancia Thema 8.32.

It’s a detuned (crossplane) Ferrari 308 that they were installing in Lancias. It’s still a transverse drivetrain, which explains why there’s no transmission.

Looks like a half baked plan that someone came up with when they were drunk and then realized they’ve done it all wrong and don’t know how to finish it.

Kinja'd!!! McMike > AMGtech - now with more recalls!
03/02/2017 at 10:44

Kinja'd!!!1

LOL, yeah.

I bet they found a Lancia and thought, “how can we use this to market our products?”

then they grabbed all sorts of shit from the attic, spares from other builds, and tada!

That thing isn’t even $50k in parts and labor.

Kinja'd!!! AMGtech - now with more recalls! > McMike
03/02/2017 at 19:48

Kinja'd!!!0

Ha! I didn’t even consider the Lancia possibility!

Good way to get rid of spare parts, just build a car out of them and sell it unfinished for a ton of money just because it has fancy badges!

That car must be a rolling (or not) nightmare. I thought you were questioning the existence of a Ferrari 3L V8 in 1989. Maybe I missed something here.
